Terms of Service

The basis on which Axis Fire India quotes, executes and maintains fire protection work — and the terms covering your use of this website.

In short: your signed quotation or contract governs your project — these terms fill in everything around it. Prices hold for the validity period printed on the quotation, site access and permits are your responsibility, our workmanship is warranted and equipment carries its manufacturer’s warranty, and our liability is capped at the contract value.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of https://axisfireindia.net and set out the general basis on which Axis Fire India Pvt. Ltd. (“Axis Fire India”, “we”, “us”) provides fire protection and fire safety services. By browsing this website or submitting an enquiry through it, you accept these terms.

Where we have issued you a written quotation, work order, purchase order acknowledgement or an Annual Maintenance Contract, that document governs the specific engagement. If anything in that document conflicts with these terms, the signed document takes precedence for that project.

2. Scope of our services

Axis Fire India provides, subject to a written scope agreed for each project:

  • Fire alarm and detection systems — design, supply, installation and commissioning.
  • Fire fighting systems — hydrant networks, wet risers, sprinkler systems, pump rooms, foam and gas suppression.
  • Fire extinguishers and safety equipment — supply, installation, servicing and refilling.
  • Installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
  • Fire safety consultancy and audits.
  • Fire safety training and mock drills.
  • Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and after-sales technical support.

The scope of any individual project is exactly what appears in the accepted quotation or contract — no more and no less. Work outside that scope is treated as a variation and requires a written instruction and an agreed price before it is carried out.

Fire protection systems reduce risk; they do not eliminate it. No system, however well designed and maintained, guarantees that a fire will not occur or that loss will not result from one. Nothing on this website should be read as a promise of a particular outcome in a fire.

3. Website content and accuracy

The content on this website — service descriptions, technical explanations, articles and FAQs — is published for general information. It is written to be genuinely useful, but it cannot account for the specifics of your building, its occupancy, its risk category or the requirements imposed by the authority having jurisdiction over it.

Do not treat website content as an engineering specification, a compliance opinion or a substitute for a site inspection. Any system design, equipment selection or compliance advice we give you is the advice contained in a written scope document issued for your project after a survey.

All text, images, layout, logos and trade marks on this website are owned by or licensed to Axis Fire India and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without our written permission.

4. Enquiries and site inspections

Submitting the contact or quote form does not create a contract. It starts a conversation. We will normally respond by phone or email, ask whatever we need to understand the site, and — where the enquiry is a genuine requirement — arrange a site inspection.

For a site inspection to be productive, we ask that you give us honest information about the building: approximate area, number of floors, occupancy, what is already installed and what condition you believe it to be in. A scope built on inaccurate site information will be priced inaccurately, and will need revising later.

We reserve the right to decline an enquiry or a project, including where the site conditions, access arrangements or the requested scope would prevent us from delivering a safe and serviceable installation.

5. Quotations, pricing and validity

  • Validity. Unless the quotation states otherwise, our prices are valid for the period printed on the quotation. Fire protection equipment pricing moves with material and component costs, so a lapsed quotation may need to be re-issued rather than simply extended.
  • Basis. Quotations are prepared against a specific bill of quantities, drawing set or scope note. If the building, the layout, the occupancy or the specification changes after we have quoted, the price changes with it.
  • Taxes and duties. Applicable taxes are charged as per prevailing law and are shown separately unless the quotation states that they are included.
  • Exclusions. Civil work, structural cutting and making good, false ceiling removal and reinstatement, scaffolding, power supply to the fire panel or pump room, statutory approval fees and third-party inspection charges are excluded unless expressly listed as included.
  • Payment. Payment terms, advance and milestone structure are as stated in the accepted quotation or work order. Material may be procured only after the agreed advance is received, and this affects the delivery programme.

Programme dates given in a quotation are estimates based on normal working conditions and uninterrupted site access. They are not guaranteed completion dates unless a contract expressly says so.

6. Site access and client responsibilities

Fire protection installation happens inside your building, alongside your operations and other trades. For a project to run to programme, we need you to provide, at no cost to us:

  • Safe, unobstructed access to all work areas during the agreed working hours.
  • Electrical supply and water for testing, along with a secure area for storing material and tools on site.
  • Timely gate passes, work permits, hot-work permits and any security clearances your site or building management requires.
  • Agreed shutdown or isolation windows where the work requires an existing system, a live alarm panel or a charged hydrant line to be taken out of service.
  • Coordination with civil, electrical, HVAC and interior contractors whose work interfaces with ours.
  • Available drawings, existing system records and information about concealed services before drilling or cutting begins.

Where access is delayed, permits are withheld or other trades prevent our crew from working, resulting standing time and re-mobilisation may be chargeable, and the programme extends accordingly.

You remain responsible for statutory compliance obligations attaching to your building, for obtaining approvals from the authority having jurisdiction, and for keeping escape routes, hydrant access and equipment locations clear in day-to-day operation.

7. Warranty, maintenance and AMC

Workmanship. We warrant our installation workmanship for the period stated in the project contract. Defects in our workmanship reported within that period are rectified at no charge.

Equipment. Panels, detectors, pumps, valves, heads, pipework and extinguishers carry the manufacturer’s own warranty. We pass that warranty through to you and assist with claims, but we do not extend it beyond the manufacturer’s stated terms.

What warranty does not cover. Damage from misuse, unauthorised modification, work carried out by others, vandalism, water quality or supply problems, power supply faults, consumables and normal wear, and any failure arising because scheduled maintenance was not carried out.

AMC. Annual Maintenance Contracts are separate agreements with their own scope, visit frequency, inclusions and response commitments. An AMC typically covers scheduled inspection, testing, servicing and breakdown attendance; whether spare parts, refilling or replacement components are included depends on the contract you sign. Read the AMC schedule — we write it in plain terms precisely so it can be read.

A fire protection system requires periodic inspection and testing to remain reliable. Where a system is left unmaintained, or maintained by others outside our scope, we cannot be responsible for its condition or performance.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that:

  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with a project is limited to the value of the contract for that project.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of production, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, loss of data or business interruption.
  • We are not liable for loss arising from site conditions, information or drawings supplied by you that turn out to be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • We are not liable for the performance of equipment or systems installed by others, or for systems that we have not been engaged to maintain.
  • We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural events, civil disturbance, government action, statutory restriction, supply chain failure or the withdrawal of site access.

This website is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content in place of a site-specific written scope.

9. Confidentiality and data

Drawings, layouts, tenant information and site details you share with us are treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of assessing, quoting and delivering your project. We do not share them with other clients or contractors without your instruction.

Personal information submitted through this website is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may reference the general type of work carried out for a client — for example “hydrant system for a manufacturing unit in Greater Noida” — but we do not publish a client’s name, logo, photographs or testimonial without permission.

10. Suspension and termination

Either party may terminate an engagement in accordance with the terms of the signed contract. Where a project is terminated part-way, you remain liable for work executed, material procured or committed, and reasonable demobilisation costs up to the date of termination. We may suspend work where payment falls materially overdue, where site conditions become unsafe, or where required permits or access are not provided.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any contract or dispute arising from them or from services we provide, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any arbitration clause expressly agreed in a project contract. We would always rather resolve a disagreement on site, in a meeting, than in a courtroom — and in practice that is how almost every issue gets settled.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services, tools and legal obligations change. The current version is always published at https://axisfireindia.net/terms-of-service with the revision date shown on this page. Changes are not applied retrospectively to a project already under a signed contract.
